First off: Scotland, what a fantastic place. The landscape was beautiful as its many hills, sheep, and old-school looking buildings cover the land in the north part where the venue took place. I really liked the course (Spey Valley GC) as it was very natural and made a good fit with the surroundings. It was a links style course and its always fun playing that kind of track. I must admit my game two weeks ago in Scotland was spot on, but I could have hit some better shots along the way. Indeed, I learn from those situation and keep my optimistic approach for whats to come. I think its important to be positive and find solutions to everything in life on a daily basis, so that is something I want you to learn too to find solutions not problems to things.
My french buddy Cyril and I had the opportunity to visit the Loch Ness just outside of Inverness that weekend. You have probably heard of the Loch Ness monster haven't you. It was a cool experience as we also visited a castle from the 1200s. Before heading back that day we needed to do one more thing as we visited the famous whisky distillery of the Glenlivet. We took a tour as the guide explained how the whisky is being made and what characteristics that the Glenlivet has compared to other single malt whiskys. It was located in the middle of nowhere in the very peaceful northern highlands. As a memory we bought a special edition that we hand-filled ourselves and made our own bottle stickers too which was awesome. Its important to get to do other things on the weekend sometimes but I am not planning on it this weekend to come in Slovakia =)
This past weeks tournament in Bad Griesbach, Germany provided us with a very good and challenging course. The weather was terrific as the sun was out most of the time and the temp was in the 30C/90F, so very hot and humid down in the south part of Germany. I could have played better in some particular parts of my game, but I feel very optimistic and good about whats to come and that is the most important.
