EUropean Tour Q School - Final Stage

25/11/2015

I just finished an golf marathon at PGA de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain last week. The European Tour Qualifying School is held at this fantastic five star resort every year and this was the second time I played in it. The first time was two years ago and I remember most of it as it was yesterday since I was so pumped being there. I played very solid that first time around and was only a couple shots of getting my European Tour card. This time I felt much more comfortable and it felt like any regular event, and I enjoyed every day having so many Swedish friends playing as well as being able to have the one and only Joakim Carlsson as my caddie. He did a remarkable effort and we had a lot of fun out there. We did get off to a somewhat rough start but fought back quickly shooting 65 (-5) on the Tour Course the second round. Then we played much better on the Stadium the second way around and shot a round of 71 (-1) on this real demanding course which I really like.

Then the cut was made after 4 rounds and I just knew I would make it in some way. People at home were kind of stressed they told me afterwards but I were able to tie it together just when I needed to at the LAST HOLE. I made it very exciting and made a nice BIRDIE from the green-side bunker on the last hole at the Tour Course, which is a Par 5. It felt great to finish that way and I guess exciting is good right. Haha. Well sometimes it is just played out that way. The cut was at -1 so I fired 77-65-71-70 to make it on the number.

I could have played better the last two rounds (round 5 & 6) at the Stadium Course but I did do my best due to being sick. I got some kind of an infection during the night before the 5th round so that is just something you got to like and just accept and put it behind you. I am glad I did finish it off but it was not easy especially through the 6th round.

I am satisfied with my performance overall and looking forward to a fantastic 2016 and yes I will come out hungry and prepared. I am a member of both the EUROPEAN TOUR and the CHALLENGE TOUR next year with conditional status on European Tour and a full card being able to play every event on the Challenge Tour circuit.

Thank you everyone who have supported me and followed me this year. Even though you do not think short messages, inspirational words, or other supportive methods make a difference; it does.
Thanks to my sponsors for the opportunity you give me and thanks for the golf clubs and other facilities that help me do what I love. Last but not least, thanks to my family and friends. Without all of you I would not be able to have come this far!

Take care everyone and be loving!

I am writing from a rooftop of a sunny Barcelona right now and pleased to let you know that I advanced to the Final Stage of European Tour Q School yesterday in Valencia, Spain at Parador El Saler Golf Club. Got to thank Mr. Armstrong from Swaziland for caddying this week as well, he did a great job on the bag.

It was a fantastic week with great weather, 70*F, no wind and sunny all week. I got to meet some close friends from college as well like Mikael Palmer who played for Oklahoma City University, and they were our biggest rival in the college golf circuit. Luckily both of us made it to the Finals so an exciting week is about to take place just an hour north of the stunning city of Barcelona.

Tune in for further updates. Follow along on www.europeantour.com It starts on Saturday the 14th of November.

Take care everyone!

Hope all of you who are taking your time reading this are doing well and have had a fantastic summer. The last couple of weeks here in Sweden have been pretty special with great weather so I have been able to relax by the west coast a bit in between my preparation for two upcoming Challenge Tour events in France and Kazakhstan.

I am excited for these two events and will be as prepared as I can be standing on the first tee. I can feel it is going to be two weeks of fun.

Thanks to everyone who are helping me out towards my dream and more so to my sponsors. Without you guys I would not be the person on and off the course as I am today so thank you so much!

Take care and be safe out there in the big world.

Excited for next week

Swiss Challenge, what a week of spectacular scenery, fantastic weather and a fun week on the course. That was a couple of weeks ago and since then I have been enjoying two weeks at home and played events such as last weeks AEGEAN Airlines Challenge in the south east part of Germany, close to the border of Austria. The course was great and the weather was almost too good with its 100+F and calm winds the whole week. This week I am in Slovakia at Penati Golf Resort designed by Jack Nicklaus. Its one of the best courses of the year and its always in prestine shape.

Im really looking forward to playing at La Gomera next week in the Canary Islands. I am ready for another good week like I was fortunate to have in Switzerland.

I wish all of you a great summer and holidays to all of you out there.

Take care. Smile, laugh and love and be glad for all that is good in life.

Switzerland Romance

I am just now looking back on a fantastic week in Luzern, Switzerland. What a country and what a scenery with its snowcovered mountain peaks. It simply combines the best of two worlds, golf and skiing. I definitely need to come back to ski some day and of course going slow in the least elevated slopes :)

I was fortunate to play well from start to finish and shot 67-70-70-68 for a total score of -9, two shots short of joining the playoff for the trophy. I am very happy with a T4 finish and looking forward for whats to come. It was a pleasure to play with the guys I got paired with, we pushed each other and had a great time.

I want to thank everyone for the support last week, my family, my sponsors and also Brigitte Nunlist too for the apartment we rented. Awesome hospitality.

Take care everyone, love, smile, and laugh. Life gets much easier that way :)

First Event of the year in kenya

9/4/2015

I left Hilton Head Island, SC, USA for Karen, Kenya this past Saturday after spending six weeks prepping for the season that is starting this week. I really enjoyed the island's cozy atmosphere and all that it had to offer. I got to meet some fantastic people, play some of the best courses I have ever played and got to get ready for an exciting season. One course that stood out was Haig Point GC which was spectacular. I also want to thank Mr. Downs and the Breedloves for everything you guys did for us.

Right now I look forward to watch the first rounds coverage of the Masters Tournament which is for sure the best week of the year, not just for me but for most golfers I believe. I got to watch it from Kenya while playing the Barclays Kenya Open this week. It is the first event of the year and I am pleased with how I started out, shooting a 67 (-5). If you had like you can follow the event at www.europeantour.com and click on the Challenge Tour tab.

I had like to thank Suzy and Dave for hosting me this week, and I must say it feels like home here at the house. I am excited to represent a new club starting this year, Vallda G&CC, thanks for making this happen. I have represented Forsgardens GK before ever since I started out playing and I must say I have had some great memories and certain support throughout the years.

Take care everyone, smile and be happy!

Hilton Head Island, SC, USA. What a place, its cozy atmosphere makes us feel like home here at this fantastic place. My friend Jonas and I are in the middle of prepping for the season to come and we really get to enjoy what this island provides us with. It has some great courses around and the weather has recently been like summer back home in Sweden.

Really enjoying every day here and cannot wait to get this season under way soon. I will keep you guys updated on my first event this season which is coming up here soon.

I want to take my hat off to all my sponsors which you can check out on the partners tab here on my website. I cannot thank my financial sponsors who have been supporting me the past couple of years and will continue to support me. You guys are fantastic in every aspect and give me the opportunity to do and succeed in what I love.

I am also excited to announce my new clothing sponsor this year, J.Lindeberg, which is a Swedish clothing brand established in Stockholm. I will be looking good out there with their very fashionable and innovative clothes and happy to promote a Swedish brand.

Take care & keep that optimism flowing!

It has been a while since I got to breath the air in the country of "the American Dream". It is good to be back and I am thrilled to get to see friends and other fantastic people I have got to know during the college years in Oklahoma, and also to continue my preparations for the season.

This is the first post of 2015, a year I am very excited for, both on and off the course. I am ready and will prepare myself even more the near future going to the east coast to practice with my friend Jonas from Sweden. I just know we will have a great time over there and get ready for a bright 2015 season :)

Hope all of you are doing well!

Thank you for your time.. I will be back here soon so stay tuned!

The desert of Oman & Q school in Spain

17/11/2014

After just a couple of fantastic days of practice in Salou, Spain with my friend Niclas I was fortunate to get in and play one of the playoff events on the Challenge Tour, the National Bank of Oman Golf Classic at Almouj Golf which is designed by the legend himself, Greg Norman. Wow, what a fantastic place Muscat was and the course itself held top-class as it was a links-style course situated just by the ocean with the waves splashing up against the rocks next to the fairways. The small waves and the burning sun of about 100+F in the beginning of the week would soon change to surf waves and equal heat. I do like tough conditions and it was a challenge this week but I did really enjoy it as I played very solid being top 10 after 3 rounds after 73-72-72. I could have finished better the last round shooting a 76 but still very satisfied with the week as a whole.

Later on, that late Sunday in Muscat, Oman I flew to Barcelona, Spain and took a little roadtrip down to Alicante to pick up my caddie Joakim Carlsson. He would be on the bag at the 2nd stage of European Tour Q school in Alicante, Spain. It was a terrific week at Las Colinas G&CC and it was even better with Joakim's company and help on and off the course. It was a pleasure to have him by my side and we had a blast with the other Swedish guys as well. I did play very solid in this event too and fired 70-69-69-71 to finish just 2 shots of qualifying to the Final stage. I really looked forward to play as good as I did last year at the Final Stage of the European Tour Q school; however, I see this outcome as something positive and I see it as an opportunity to work hard this off-season to come out strong in every aspect next year on the Challenge Tour. I cannot wait to get started.

Right now I am at home which feels great and I can sit down and just enjoy all the adventures I have been a part of this year traveling to more than 20 countries around the world. It has been a fantastic year and I have learned a lot at the same time as I have enjoyed the opportunity to experience different cultures and meet extraordinary people.

I cannot thank my amazing sponsors, my family, friends, and other supporters enough who have helped and followed me around this year. Without all of you nothing of this would be possible. I look forward to continue my journey next year and come out strong and prepared for whats to come in 2015.

Enjoy yourself and your loved ones, smile, love, and be kind. You just live ones so make the most of it, remember that. =)

Take care!
