I am leaving for Nairobi, Kenya tomorrow for Kenya Open (first Challenge Tour event of the year) and can look back at a great week spent here in Johannesburg where I actually stay at one of my college team's worst rival, Oklahoma City University's Anthony Michael. However, even though we at times were competitive and wanted to win no matter what it took we were great friends off the course. Anthony is a great friend and we have really had a blast this week and I cannot thank him and his family enough for letting me stay at their place. Thank you!
I have been practicing and prepared for whats to come and I am excited for next week. I must also mentioned I did a custom fitting with Titleist's Mattias Jelver and a big thanks to him. Excited about the new sticks I soon will get in the bag.
Yesterday we went fishing with another friend of Anthony at a farm in the outskirt's of town which was awesome. We were hoping to get mote success but caught a couple small ones but Anthony won the prize catching the smallest. Was the size of a goldfish. Even though, we had a great time together.
