Today is a special day in Sweden, its called Midsummer and it is one of the most popular "red" days back home when families and friends get together to celebrate the summer solstice. Today is the brightest day of the year when the sun is shining the whole day up in the north part of Sweden and in Gothenburg where I live is not as bright for the day as in the north but pretty close. However, it is a great celebration when laughter and good times are common as well as girls having crowns made of wildflowers on their heads. The younger kids and some elders like to dance around the so-called maypole and its usually a great laugh this event.
I am happy to be able to take some time off after 6 consecutive weeks on the road. It is a new experience and I must say it was awesome and I learned a lot. The last two weeks I played at La Gomera (in Tenerife, Spain) where I played solid shooting a total score of -8 and finished 26th. The setting this week was incredible with stunning views of the ocean from every corner of the course and the hotel.
Last week I played another Challenge Tour event just a couple hours north of Paris, France where the venue was set to play at a very extraordinary course which many guys do not like. Even though, since it was my first time there I tried to like it as much as I could and I played solid this week as well and finished 25th.
Indeed, I must say I am very fortunate where I am at and I am feeling optimistic about the near future and I cannot thank everyone who are helping me to be where I am at at the moment. All of you, thank you so much. Today I will enjoy a sunny and very long day as we will celebrate the summer solstice in Sweden in our own way and I hope all of you guys wherever you are in the world are happy and are going to have a great weekend as well.
Take care everyone!
