Sitting at Berlin's airport now and waiting to board my flight to Tenerife and this weeks Fred Olsen Challenge at the island of La Gomera. I have a good feeling so it will be a great week.
But now lets talk about the Nordea Masters last week in Malmo, Sweden. I was originally going to play a Challenge Tour event outside of Prag, Czech Republic when I got a call saying a had a spot into the Nordea Masters (European Tour event) so I said Yes. This just because I have always wanted to play this event on home soil close to my hometown of Gothenburg. So I took a taxi with a Danish friend to Prag and was lucky to find a direct flight to Copenhagen just minutes from Malmo. I arrived late Tuesday night and was not able to play the course Wednesday due to Pro-Ams so my caddie Jonas who is a longtime friend just walked the course. So it was the first time playing Nordea Masters as well as the first shot ever at the Lakes Course of PGA Sweden National GC at lunchtime last Thursday. I must admit it was awesome to have about 60 people standing behind the first tee and cheering when I split the fairway on the 10th hole. My family, relatives, and friends was also there and would follow me around. What a feeling it was. Yes, I could have played better the 1st round but it was still a great day with my closest people around me. I played much better the 2nd round and had a first-class short game with 22 putts. All in all last week was awesome on and off the course and the environment was hard to beat. I am looking forward to get back even stronger next year for this event cause I now I got the game.
I hope all of you who is reading this post are doing well and are fortunate for what you do have in life and only care about the important parts in life letting the unimportant go.
Take care..
