I played in Prague last week in the so-called D+D Real Czech Masters on the European Tour and I was fortunate to have my friend Bobby on the bag too before heading back to the US. I had a good feeling going into the event and one reason why was because I knew it would be a well organized and fun event to play in since the same team (Relmost) was organizing another previous tournament in Slovakia earlier this year. We were staying just outside downtown Prague which I heard is a fantastic city and I simply agree. It is a very lively city with great cuisine and extraordinary history as we, for instance, visited the famous Prague Castle overlooking the city skyline.
Albatross Golf Resort was the name of the course we played at last week and it was in great shape and a course that really fit my eye. I played very good especially the first 2 rounds as I shot 71 (-1) and 67 (-5) which put me in a T8 position going into moving day being only 3 shots off the lead who was held by Jamie Donaldson who is now top 30 in the world. I played very solid and was fortunate to putt well. I finished the tournament off with rounds of 76 (+4) and a 73 (+1) and finished T39th which is my best finish on the European Tour so far on 1 of 2 "real ET event" cuts made. I am very pleased with last weeks outcome and its satisfying to see that I am going in the right direction. Last week taught be a lot and as you know, experience, is an essential part of success and I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to be able to play at this level so thank you everyone who is supporting me.
This week I am going to play in Northern Ireland. It is going to be fun since I have not been there before.
